Scouts NSW - 1st Nurragingy Scout Group

Venturers Section

Ages

Venturer Scouts caters to individuals between the ages of 14 and 17 until they reach their 18th birthday. Participants in this program enjoy increased independence and are entrusted with greater responsibilities.

Meeting Time

We don't have a Venturers Section at the moment, but if you're interested in stepping up as a leader for this area, please get in touch with us today, we will be excited to hear from you!

About Ventures

As a Venturer Scout, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy learning and shaping your character at your own pace. Venturer Scouts can discover their independence, expand their horizons, clarify their interests and priorities, build strong peer support, take on greater responsibilities, and seek out purpose, challenges, and risks. You might find yourself adventuring through the wild landscapes of Australia, camping in snowy regions, or diving in vibrant coral reefs. You could be abseiling into a limestone cave or scaling a steep rock face. Maybe you'll even learn white-water kayaking or embark on a mountain biking expedition through breathtaking terrains.

Uniform

Youth members are expected to wear the complete uniform, which consists of a section-specific shirt, scarf, woggle, and closed-toe shoes. The Venturers uniform features a navy blue shirt with the maroon section colour detailing on the sleeves and collar. Uniforms can be acquired from the The Scout Shop.

All members should dress suitably for the activities they will be engaging in.
