Age Groups Sections
Scouting offers a fulfilling and inclusive experience for everyone, no matter your age, gender, or prior involvement in the global Scouting community. Children of school age can become part of 1st Nurragingy Scout Group and embark on a journey that can last up to 20 years, exploring various Sections, each featuring age-appropriate activities and distinct color-coded uniforms. Newcomers are welcome to join at any stage of this journey.
Our Leaders are dedicated to guiding young members as they transition to the next Section, considering each child's growth and readiness for the change. We aim to ensure that members feel excited about advancing and are prepared to embrace new challenges. We also warmly welcome enthusiastic adult Leaders, and no prior Scouting experience is required.
Scouts are organised into age-specific Sections, where each group gradually takes on more responsibility for their activities as they grow. All Sections emphasise values like self-respect, confidence, leadership, teamwork, creativity, environmental awareness, and community engagement. There are numerous events and activities that encourage everyone to participate together.
