What is Scouts?

Scouts is recognised as one of the largest and most effective youth organisations globally. Scouts NSW boasts nearly 16,000 members, both youth and adults, representing a diverse array of cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as varying abilities.

At 1st Nurragingy Scouts, we encourage young individuals to make choices, assume leadership roles, and engage in learning by doing. We provide a secure environment where they can collaborate with peers to organise and undertake their own adventures, both indoors and outdoors. By fostering resilience in youth, we empower them to learn from their mistakes and recognise that failure is acceptable as it is a fundamental aspect of the educational process.

Our programs are designed with a youth-led, adult-supported framework, ensuring that our youth members play a central role. We provide engaging activities for individuals aged 5 to 18 on various afternoons during the week, in addition to optional weekend and holiday events for our members.

• Joey Scouts (5-8 years old): Tuesday 5:00pm - 6:00pm
• Cub Scouts (8-11 years old): Tuesday 6:00pm - 7:30pm
• Scouts (11-15 years old): Wednesday 6:00pm - 8:00pm
• Venturer Scouts (15-18 years old): Please enquire for more information.
